(Nasdaq: FEAM) (ASX: 5EA) (\u201c5E\u201d or the \u201cCompany\u201d), a boron and lithium company with U.S. government Critical Infrastructure designation for its 5E Boron Americas Complex, is pleased to provide an update on its path to becoming a globally significant producer of boron and lithium.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n        <strong>Initial Production of Boron from 5E Boron Americas Complex<\/strong><br \/>\n        <br \/>Commissioning activities continue with plant and well-field construction substantially complete (see Figure 1 and 2).\u00a0 The timeline for initial production of boric acid is currently subject to the receipt of a final approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (\u201cEPA&#8221;) under the Company\u2019s Underground Injection Control Permit (\u201cUIC Permit\u201d).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n        \n      <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n        <strong>Figure 1 \u2013 5E Boron Americas Complex, Initial Boron Facility<\/strong>\n      <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n        <strong>(Photo March 17, 2023)<\/strong>\n      <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n        \n      <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n        <strong>Figure 2 \u2013 5E Boron Americas Complex Well-Field<\/strong>\n      <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n        <strong>(Photo March 17, 2023)<\/strong>\n      <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">On August 13, 2020 the EPA awarded the Company\u2019s UIC (Underground Injection Control) Permit for extraction of boron and lithium.\u00a0 The permit contained several conditions to be completed prior commencement of mining. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Various conditions included:<\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Posting a bond<\/li>\n<li>Installing monitor wells and conduct monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of alert levels to be used during operations<\/li>\n<li>Installing the initial injection\/recovery wells<\/li>\n<li>Conduct testing on both the monitoring wells and injection\/recover wells<\/li>\n<li>And closing all historic wells within the mining area<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p align=\"justify\">Key required reports and documentation were submitted to EPA for their approval in CYQ4 2022.\u00a0 The Company believes it is in full compliance with the terms of the permit. The EPA is currently reviewing these documents, and the company is responding to any questions.
