The decrease was primarily due to the completion of the research phase of the LG Chem collaboration in the first quarter of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Research and development expenses were\u00a0$11.3 million\u00a0and\u00a0$11.5 million\u00a0for the three months ended\u00a0December 31, 2022\u00a0and 2021, respectively. The decrease was due to the completion of enrollment in the CUE-101 Phase 1 monotherapy clinical trial in the first half of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>General and administrative expenses were\u00a0$3.7 million\u00a0and\u00a0$4.7 million\u00a0for the three months ended\u00a0December 31, 2022\u00a0and 2021, respectively. The decrease was primarily due to completion of the research phase of the LG Chem collaboration during the first quarter of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Research and development expenses were\u00a0$38.6 million\u00a0and\u00a0$41.3 million\u00a0for the years ended\u00a0December 31, 2022\u00a0and 2021, respectively. The decrease was primarily due to a decrease in costs related to the CUE-101 Phase 1 monotherapy clinical trial as enrollment was completed in the first half of 2022, a decrease in CUE-101 combination clinical trial costs and lower manufacturing costs for CUE-101 and CUE-102 clinical material during 2022, as compared to 2021.<\/p>\n<p>General and administrative expenses were\u00a0$16.2 million\u00a0and\u00a0$17.3 million\u00a0for the years ended\u00a0December 31, 2022\u00a0and 2021, respectively.
