\nThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention\u2019s National Center for Health Statistics recently reported<\/a> that the premature birth rate rose 4% from 10.09% in 2020 to 10.49% in 2021, which was the highest recorded figure since at least 2007. The biggest increase was among early pre-term infants, or those born under 34 weeks gestation, at 4% from 2020 to 2021 compared to \u201clate pre-term infants\u201d born between 34 weeks and 37 weeks gestation.\n<\/p>\n
