(NASDAQ: MPAC, the &#8220;Company&#8221;), a special purpose acquisition company, announced today that at its extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on <span class=\"xn-chron\">September 28, 2022<\/span> (the &#8220;Meeting&#8221;), the Company&#8217;s shareholders voted in favor of the proposal to amend its memorandum and articles of association, giving the Company the right to extend the date by which the Company has to complete a business combination (the &#8220;Combination Period&#8221;) up to two (2) times for an additional three (3) months each time, from <span class=\"xn-chron\">October 12, 2022<\/span> to <span class=\"xn-chron\">April 12, 2023<\/span>. In connection with the Meeting, 3,508,994 Class A ordinary shares were tendered for redemption.\u00a0 On <span class=\"xn-chron\">September 29, 2022<\/span>, the Company made a deposit of <span class=\"xn-money\">$244,100.60<\/span> to the trust account and extended the Combination Period from <span class=\"xn-chron\">October 12, 2022<\/span> to <span class=\"xn-chron\">January 12, 2023<\/span>. Following such redemptions and the deposit, the amount of funds remaining in the trust account is approximately <span class=\"xn-money\">$23.4 million<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>On <span class=\"xn-chron\">September 29, 2022<\/span>, the Company, MultiMetaVerse Inc.
