The initiative focuses on diagnosing the most common health issues faced by vulnerable patients in underserved populations, including high cholesterol, diabetes, urinary tract infections, kidney disease, blood clotting disorders, liver disease, strep A, HIV, hepatitis C, flu A &amp; B, RSV and pregnancy tests.<\/p>\n<p>Recipients of the 2022 PoCECE grant are:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Agape Medical Clinic, Inc. &#8211; <span class=\"xn-location\">Weatherford, Oklahoma<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Esperanza Center &#8211; Associated Catholic Charities, Inc. &#8211; <span class=\"xn-location\">Baltimore, Maryland<\/span><\/li>\n<li>La Clinica Gratis of Community Initiatives, Inc &#8211; <span class=\"xn-location\">Greenwood, South Carolina<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Viola Startzman Clinic &#8211; <span class=\"xn-location\">Wooster, Ohio<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Premier Mobile Health Services &#8211; Fort Meyers, <span class=\"xn-location\">Florida<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The Free Clinics &#8211; <span class=\"xn-location\">Hendersonville, North Carolina<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The grants include a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA)-waived point-of-care test system consisting of instruments and tests, as well as clinician training and technical support provided by BD employee volunteers to help ensure proper setup and use of equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The PoCECE initiative launched in 2017 and has supported 27 U.S. clinics in 20 states with product and cash donations totaling <span class=\"xn-money\">$2.6 million<\/span>.
