Transaction to close by mid-August 2021<\/i><\/p>\n

DENVER, Colorado–(BUSINESS WIRE<\/a>)–Liberty Latin America Ltd<\/a>. (\u201cLiberty Latin America\u201d or \u201cLLA\u201d) (NASDAQ: LILA and LILAK, OTC Link: LILAB) and Telef\u00f3nica S.A. (\u201cTelef\u00f3nica\u201d) in Costa Rica (\u201cTelef\u00f3nica Costa Rica\u201d), announced today that the companies have received authorization from the Costa Rican President, Carlos Alvarado Quesada, for the sale of Telef\u00f3nica\u2019s operations in Costa Rica to Liberty Latin America\u2019s 80% subsidiary, Cabletica. The Superintendent of Telecommunications (Sutel) also determined there was no evidence the transaction would produce any anti-competitive effects and approved the transaction without conditions.\n<\/p>\n

\nTelef\u00f3nica and Liberty Latin America are excited to complete the transaction and to combine Cabletica and Movistar in Costa Rica. The companies intend to close the transaction shortly.\n<\/p>\n
