Company fills five leadership roles with specialty retail expertise<\/i><\/p>\n

COPPELL, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE<\/a>)–The Container Store<\/a>, leading specialty retailer of storage and organization solutions and custom closets, has added five new company leaders to complement existing leadership. Four months into Satish Malhotra\u2019s role as CEO, he has hired key leaders and added three new roles: Chief Information Officer, Dhritiman Saha, Vice President of Merchandising, Michelle Gill, Vice President of Real Estate, Robert Higgins, Senior Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, LaTisha Brandon, and Senior Director of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Ivet Taneva.\n<\/p>\n

\nChief Information Officer, Dhritiman Saha, will serve as the principal technology leader providing vision for developing and implementing technology strategies and initiatives company wide. Saha comes from GameStop where he was the chief digital officer, and has also held leadership roles at JC Penney, Target and Kohls. Previously, this position title was Chief Technology Officer.\n<\/p>\n

\nVP of Merchandising is a new position at The Container Store that has been filled by Michelle Gill, reporting to Chief Merchandising Officer, John Gehre. She will be supporting initiatives like the expansion of The Container Store\u2019s private label assortment and sustainably sourced products. Gill previously served nearly three decades at luxury retailer, Neiman Marcus, most recently as a Vice President for various departments since 2015.\n<\/p>\n

\nRobert Higgins joined the team in late April as the new VP of real estate reporting to Chief Financial Officer, Jeff Miller. He will be responsible for formulating and executing growth strategies as well as overseeing the company\u2019s real estate portfolio. Prior to joining The Container Store, Higgins was the VP of Global Real Estate and Retail Development for Fossil.\n<\/p>\n

\nLaTisha Brandon will fill a new role of Senior Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, building on the company\u2019s current strategy and leading its DE&I Taskforce under the leadership of Executive Vice President of Human Resources, John Marazio. Over the past five years, Brandon has spearheaded DE&I initiatives across all areas of business at JC Penney and Celanese.\n<\/p>\n

\nAnother new role for the company, Senior Director of ESG has been filled by Ivet Taneva. She will develop and lead a multi-prong strategy for ESG for The Container Store. She comes from Alcon, where she led the development and execution of its global environmental sustainability strategy, global regulatory compliance program, and developed sustainability standards for all levels of the organization.\n<\/p>\n
