OWATONNA, Minn., April 21, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Minimizer<\/a> is nearing the end of a long road, and 18 months after breaking ground in Owatonna, the High Bar Brands<\/a> company is operational and just about fully moved into its new facility.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe entire team effort involved with making this a success is impressive and could not have happened without the commitment from everyone in all departments,\u201d High Bar Brands Vice President of Operations Jim Richards<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

Two molding machines and one robot are all that remain at the company\u2019s old facility in Blooming Prairie.\u00a0 Richards says those last few pieces should be in place in Owatonna by mid-May.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the most impressive thing about the whole move is that we set sales and shipping records throughout the course of it,\u201d Richards said.\u00a0 \u201cThat\u2019s amazing, and it\u2019s a testament to the team we have in place, from sales, to operations, to administration, to customer service.\u201d<\/p>\n

The new facility brings Minimizer under one roof.\u00a0 Previously, the Tested & Tortured\u2122 brand was spread across three campuses in Blooming Prairie.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving everyone in one facility really benefits efficiency of product flow,\u201d Richards said.\u00a0 \u201cThis new set-up drastically reduces the time and space that product travels from raw material to order shipped.\u201d<\/p>\n

Richards also believes the move will considerably improve company communication.<\/p>\n

\u201cCommunication flow in all areas \u2013\u00a0from daily work distribution to company vision communication \u2013\u00a0is significantly impacted in a positive way,\u201d Richards said.\u00a0 \u201cEmployees now have better access to their supervisor, HR, and other departments.\u201d<\/p>\n
