With this change, Tom Arnst, who currently oversees Human Resources for all three Company divisions as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, will add the responsibility and reporting of the Tenet Enterprise legal department as General Counsel. Arnst\u2019s background as Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of Tenet\u2019s Conifer Health Solutions subsidiary, coupled with his many years of experience in this role across other companies, provides a unique opportunity for Tenet as part of the Company\u2019s ongoing transformation.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nRon Rittenmeyer, Executive Chairman and CEO, said, \u201cAudrey and I have been discussing her plans over the last year, and while I am sorry to see her retire, I respect and support her decision and greatly appreciate her commitment to the company to provide an excellent approach to the transition of this key role. She will always be a Tenet alumna of the highest integrity, and we wish her the best on this next chapter.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\nBefore becoming General Counsel in 2013, Andrews served as Tenet\u2019s Chief Compliance Officer overseeing the Company\u2019s ethics and compliance program. Andrews also previously served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Tenet\u2019s regulatory affairs. In that position, she led the law department\u2019s regulatory group in handling Medicare reimbursement, quality of care and other regulatory issues. She joined the Company in 1998 as Hospital Operations Counsel.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nAs Andrews will retire on Dec. 31, 2021, she and Arnst will work together to ensure a seamless transition. Both will report directly to Rittenmeyer, with Arnst responsible for the ongoing functions, people and business of the legal department and Andrews overseeing specific matters and other items of which she has deep knowledge. Andrews will retain her title of Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, addressing these important issues for the Company.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nIn addition to his role leading the legal department of Conifer Health Solutions which he assumed in 2018, Arnst was named Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Tenet earlier this year, and will now be the Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of Tenet. Arnst is also the Chief Risk Officer for Tenet.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nRittenmeyer added, \u201cTom has more than 30 years of experience working in Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel roles across healthcare, regulatory and compliance, outsourcing and financial services, among other industries.
