(“Oasis” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ:OAS) today announced that it has appointed Daniel E. “Danny” Brown as Chief Executive Officer effective April\u00a013,\u00a02021.\u00a0 At the same time, Mr.\u00a0Brown was also appointed to the Oasis Board of Directors.<\/p>\n

Mr.\u00a0Brown has 23 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry having spent his career with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, or one of its predecessors, until Anadarko was acquired by Occidental Petroleum in August\u00a02019.\u00a0 From October\u00a02017 to August\u00a02019, Mr.\u00a0Brown served as Anadarko’s Executive Vice President, U.S. Onshore Operations. \u00a0Prior to that position, he served as Executive Vice President, International and Deepwater Operations beginning in May\u00a02017; Senior Vice President, International and Deepwater Operations beginning in August\u00a02016; Vice President, Operations (Southern and Appalachia) beginning in August\u00a02013; and Vice President, Corporate Planning beginning in May\u00a02013.<\/p>\n

Mr.\u00a0Brown joined Anadarko in August\u00a02006 upon the acquisition of Kerr-McGee Corporation, where he began his career.\u00a0 In addition to those positions mentioned above, Mr.\u00a0Brown held positions of increasing responsibility with Anadarko and Kerr-McGee throughout his career in U.S. onshore and Gulf of Mexico<\/span> segments, as well as internationally.\u00a0 Mr.\u00a0Brown was also a director of Western Gas Equity Partners, LP and Western Gas Partners, LP from November\u00a02017 to February\u00a02019.\u00a0 After the February\u00a02019 simplification of those two MLPs, he served on the board of Western Midstream Partners, LP until August\u00a02019, when the Anadarko-Occidental transaction was completed.\u00a0 Since January\u00a02020, Mr.\u00a0Brown has served on the board of Beacon Offshore Energy LLC, a private-equity sponsored exploration and production company that is focused on the deepwater Gulf of Mexico<\/span>.<\/p>\n
