\n BEAVERTON, Ore.<\/span>, April 12, 2021<\/span> \/PRNewswire\/ —\u00a0Digimarc Corporation<\/a>\u00a0(NASDAQ: DMRC), creator of the Digimarc Platform, today announced the retirement of Bruce Davis<\/span> as Digimarc’s President and Chief Executive Officer and as Chairman and member of Digimarc’s Board of Directors, effective immediately.\u00a0 Riley McCormack<\/span>, a current member and Lead Director of the Digimarc Board, has been appointed as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, effective today, and will remain as a director of the Company.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Davis’s retirement from management and the board is unrelated to the company’s financial reporting and business performance, nor was his decision to leave due to any disagreement with the Company’s operations, policies or practices. <\/p>\n

\n Alicia Syrett<\/span>, an independent director, was elected Chair of the Board of Directors, splitting the role of CEO and Board Chair for the first time since the mid 2000’s.\u00a0 The position of Lead Director was eliminated.\u00a0 The size of the Board was reduced from 10 to 8 members.\u00a0 Sheela Zemlin<\/span> was elected to succeed Mr. McCormack as Chair of the Compensation Committee.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Along with today’s announcement, Digimarc is also releasing some preliminary financial highlights for the first quarter ended March 31<\/span>, 2021.\u00a0 Retail bookings are expected to be $2.1 million<\/span>, up 14% year over year and up 58% on a sequential basis.\u00a0 This would mark Digimarc’s best quarterly Retail bookings quarter ever and compares to $5.4 million<\/span> in Retail bookings for the full Fiscal Year 2020. The Company also expects to meet or exceed the highest published Wall Street analyst estimate of $6.25 million<\/span> in total revenue for the quarter.\u00a0 Digimarc cautions these results are preliminary and subject to customary final analysis and closing of the quarter.<\/p>\n
