\nThirty high school seniors in Southern California Edison\u2019s service area have been named 2021 Edison Scholars and will be awarded $1.2 million in scholarships by Edison International to pursue science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) studies.\n<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThe Edison Scholars class of 2021 is outstanding,\u201d said Pedro Pizarro, president and CEO of Edison International. \u201cThey are navigating school, leading organizations and securing internships, often while balancing jobs. That\u2019s difficult in any environment, let alone a pandemic. We are so proud to help these students pursue their STEM dreams.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\nEach Edison Scholar will receive a $40,000 scholarship \u2014 paid over four years \u2014 to further their academic pursuit of STEM fields at a four-year accredited U.S. college or university.\n<\/p>\n
