Industry experts including <span class=\"xn-person\">Gail Trauco<\/span>, a patients&#8217; rights advocate, caution that delaying health services can:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n          <b><br \/>\n            <i>Increase appointment backlogs.<\/i><br \/>\n          <\/b>\u00a0As people begin to resume their medical care, they may find their wait becomes even longer as health care providers experience appointment backlogs. Providers may face challenges catching up with the demand from this surge.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/li>\n<li>\n          <b><br \/>\n            <i>Exacerbate medical problems.<\/i><br \/>\n          <\/b>\u00a0Delaying health care can result in undiagnosed and untreated conditions, including early stage cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, and diabetes. This can lead to emergency hospitalizations and permanent damage to the body. <\/li>\n<li>\n          <b><br \/>\n            <i>Raise health care costs.<\/i><br \/>\n          <\/b>\u00a0Since doctor visit delays can lead to serious health problems, people may find that their <u><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.insure.com\/health-insurance\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">health insurance<\/a><\/u>\u00a0costs increase.
