II (the “Company”) today announced that it had closed its initial public offering of 20,000,000 units at a price of $10.00<\/span> per unit. \u00a0The units are listed on the New York Stock Exchange (the “NYSE”) and began trading under the ticker symbol “FZT.U” on March\u00a016, 2021. \u00a0Each unit consists of one share of Class A common stock of the Company and one-quarter of one redeemable warrant, with each whole warrant exercisable to purchase one share of Class\u00a0A common stock at a price of $11.50<\/span> per share. \u00a0Once the securities comprising the units begin separate trading, the shares of Class A common stock and warrants are expected to be listed on the NYSE under the symbols “FZT” and “FZT\u00a0WS,” respectively.<\/p>\n

FAST Acquisition Corp. II is the third special purpose acquisition company formed by the principals of &vest with the business purpose to effect a business combination with one or more businesses. \u00a0While the Company may pursue an initial business combination with a company in any sector or geography, the Company intends to focus its search on the restaurant, hospitality, consumer and related sectors in North America<\/span> with an enterprise value of $800\u00a0million or greater.\u00a0 &vest is an investment platform led by founder and CEO Doug Jacob<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Jefferies LLC acted as sole book-running manager for the offering. The Company has granted the underwriter a 45-day option to purchase up to 3,000,000 additional units at the initial public offering price to cover over-allotments, if any.<\/p>\n
