In second place is <span class=\"xn-location\">Minnesota<\/span>, also for the second year in a row &#8212; the state was in the top spot in 2018. <\/p>\n<p>The top 10 states for driving are:<\/p>\n<p>1. <span class=\"xn-location\">Utah<\/span><br \/>2. <span class=\"xn-location\">Minnesota<\/span><br \/>3. <span class=\"xn-location\">Maine<\/span><br \/>4. <span class=\"xn-location\">North Dakota<\/span><br \/>5. <span class=\"xn-location\">Massachusetts<\/span><br \/>6. <span class=\"xn-location\">Nebraska<\/span><br \/>7. <span class=\"xn-location\">Ohio<\/span><br \/>8. <span class=\"xn-location\">Wyoming<\/span><br \/>9. <span class=\"xn-location\">Wisconsin<\/span><br \/>10. <span class=\"xn-location\">Virginia<\/span><\/p>\n<p>While most states in the above list were among the best last year, there were two new additions:\u00a0 <span class=\"xn-location\">Wyoming<\/span> (up from 17 last year) and <span class=\"xn-location\">Wisconsin<\/span> (up from 16).<\/p>\n<p>On the wrong side of the road is <span class=\"xn-location\">California<\/span>, dishonorably mentioned on the list, The Golden State ranks as the worst for drivers for the second consecutive year because of its high average gas prices and repair costs, traffic congestion issues, and poor road conditions. Right on the Golden State&#8217;s bumper is <span class=\"xn-location\">Louisiana<\/span>, the second-worst because of high crash-related fatalities and auto insurance rates.
