Semaglutide is an analogue of the human glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) hormone.<sup>6,7<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>\n        <b>About the STEP clinical trial program<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>STEP (<b>S<\/b>emaglutide <b>T<\/b>reatment <b>E<\/b>ffect in <b>P<\/b>eople with obesity) is a phase 3 clinical development program with once-weekly sc semaglutide 2.4 mg in obesity.
