BERKELEY, CA, March 09, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Pivot Bio<\/a> recently completed a major expansion of its Berkeley, Cal., lab and offices to support its accelerated growth plans, advance the company\u2019s science, and deliver its nitrogen-producing microbial products to U.S. farmers faster. MAI Construction<\/a>, based in San Jose, Cal., served as the general contractor to create this state-of-the art facility.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the technical expertise of our partners at MAI, we created a best-in-class facility that will put Pivot Bio at the forefront of a growing bioeconomy,\u201d said Karsten Temme<\/a>, Ph.D., Pivot Bio CEO and co-founder. \u201cThe renovated and expanded space supports our team to do their best work in the best possible environment as we strive to develop regenerative agriculture solutions to help farmers and improve the health of our planet.\u201d<\/p>\n

The project was a complete interior demolition of the office space with a build out of all new labs, office space and conference rooms. In addition, interior and exterior building improvements were made including a seismic upgrade and utility upgrades\/replacements.<\/p>\n
