\n MADRID<\/span>, March 8, 2021<\/span> \/PRNewswire\/ — The United States\u00a0Patent and Trademark Office\u00a0has granted Spanish OTCQX-listed company Lleida.net its sixth patent<\/a>, this time referring to its registered and qualified electronic notification method EIDAS, a key to communicating electronically within the European market.\u00a0<\/p>\n

EIDAS is the European regulation that sets the rules in all matters relating to identification and trust services for electronic transactions within the EU.<\/p>\n

This patent bears the name “Platform and method of certification of an electronic notice for electronic identification and trust services”<\/a>\u00a0(EIDAS).<\/p>\n

The system, created by the company’s founder and CEO, Sisco Sapena<\/span><\/a>, makes it possible to reliably identify the sender, the recipient and the data sent in electronic notifications.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It guarantees\u00a0reliable electronic communication within\u00a0Europe and has been granted for 20 years.<\/p>\n

The company was already a pioneer in securing European homologation for this method in 2018.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The patent on the method, which Lleida.net\u00a0distributes under the trade name Openum eIDAS, is valid for 20 years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Openum EIDAS trademark itself was granted register last year by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for ten years.<\/p>\n

The most recent, granted last October, refers\u00a0to the company’s method for certifying emails\u00a0containing an electronic signature recognised by a telecommunications operator.<\/p>\n

To date, Lleida.net has accumulated 203 patents from\u00a064 countries worldwide.<\/p>\n

Patents have been granted for its method for the registration and certification of receipt of electronic mail, its method for certifying the sending of electronic mail, its method for registering delivery of SMS\/MMS data messages to mobile terminals, and its method for producing certified electronic contracts.<\/p>\n

Among the nations and international organisations that have acknowledged \u00a0the company’s innovations are, in addition to the United States<\/span>, the European Union and all its member states, China<\/span>, Japan<\/span>, Australia<\/span>, New Zealand<\/span>, the Gulf Cooperation Council,\u00a0Israel, South Africa<\/span>, Colombia<\/span> or\u00a0Mexico.<\/p>\n
