(NASDAQ-GS: TROW) announced that effective today it has opened an investment research office in Shanghai<\/span>, following the establishment of a wholly foreign-owned enterprise (WFOE), T. Rowe Price Investment Consulting (Shanghai<\/span>) Co., Ltd, in Shanghai’s<\/span> Free Trade Zone on December 18, 2020<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The new office will expand and deepen T. Rowe Price’s<\/span> research coverage of China’s<\/span> rapidly growing investment universe and be a home base for additional analysts who will cover Chinese companies. The Shanghai<\/span> office will support and supplement T. Rowe Price’s<\/span> leading global research platform, which informs investment decisions across the firm’s range of local, regional, and global investment strategies. <\/p>\n

\n Dai Wang<\/span>
\n <\/b>, who joined the firm in 2014, will lead the Shanghai<\/span> office. Mr. Wang has worked as a research analyst in T. Rowe Price’s<\/span> Equity Division covering Asian stocks in Hong Kong<\/span> and in the firm’s headquarters in Baltimore<\/span>. <\/p>\n

T. Rowe Price<\/span> has a decades-long history of investing in China<\/span> through global strategies. The firm currently has two China<\/span>-focused strategies managed out of Hong Kong<\/span> by Wenli Zheng<\/span> and Jacqueline Liu<\/span>.
