IPSC also added the entire collection of Hull Street Energy\u2019s plants \u2013 Pawtucket, CEDECCA, Forked River and Pittsfield \u2013 to its portfolio. Additionally, IPSC was granted a five-year extension to operate and manage Yard Creek\u2019s hydro facility.\n<\/p>\n

\nEarlier this year, IPSC won Combined Cycle Journal\u2019s \u201cBest Practice Award\u201d for its role in operating and maintaining Armstrong Energy, a 625-megawatt, dual-fuel, simple-cycle peaking facility in Shelocta, Pa. IPSC further solidified itself as a leader in the industry by winning the Combustion Turbine Operations Technical Forum\u2019s (CTOTF) \u201cSafety Excellence Award.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\nIn response to the pandemic, IPSC took the immediate action to ensure the more than 30 facilities and 12.7 gigawatts it manages were able to continue business as usual and supply power to the North American grid, while also keeping its employees safe. IPSC had the foresight to gather, process and analyze data from different European countries\u2019 COVID responses before it had even become widespread within the U.S. in order to develop its COVID Power Generation Response and Best Practices plan, which included different staffing scenarios and strategies to ensure it was capable of handling the worst-case scenario of a potential outbreak in a plant without disrupting operations.\n<\/p>\n

\nIPSC also began the development of its new remote operating center (ROC), which is set to launch this spring and will expand IPSC\u2019s operations and maintenance (O&M) service offerings to better support the renewable power generation sector including wind, PV solar, battery storage and more. As part of its new diversity and inclusivity initiative, IPSC created a council to further drive its commitment to infuse diversity and inclusivity in everything the company does \u2013 top to bottom.\n<\/p>\n
