Series Coordinators are Paul Axelrod<\/strong>, Professor Emeritus, York University and Jason Ellis<\/strong>, Associate Professor, University of British Columbia.<\/p>\n

This session turns to higher education, and asks \u201cDoes Liberal Education Matter in the 21st Century?<\/strong>\u201d Lorna Marsden<\/strong>, former President of York University, is joined on the panel by Paul Gooch<\/strong>, past president of Victoria University in the University of Toronto and author of Course Correction: A Map for the Distracted University<\/em>; the University of Waterloo\u2019s Ian Milligan<\/strong>, author of History in the Age of Abundance. How the Web is Transforming Historical Research<\/em>; and Qiang Zha<\/strong>, York University professor and co-editor of International Status Anxiety and Higher Education: The Soviet Legacy in China and Russia<\/em>. This Session will be chaired by Paul Axelrod<\/strong>, former dean of York University\u2019s Faculty of Education.<\/p>\n
