Sentient Energy continues its exciting growth phase and accelerates its capabilities across its rich platform of analytics and software based on data from its high fidelity sensors. Now, as part of Koch Engineered Solutions, the opportunity to harness the wide capabilities at Koch into sustained advantages for our customers led to the hiring of Bob. Karschnia brings to the team over thirty years of experience in strategy, executive leadership, industrial design, and development in industrial solutions and will guide Sentient Energy\u2019s next level of growth and innovation with its industry-leading smart grid solutions. Primary areas of focus for Karschnia will include customer partnership and success, new product development and overall company strategy.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining Sentient Energy, Karschnia was the vice president and general manager of Emerson Automation Solutions\u2019 Pervasive Sensing business. He helped create, grow and lead Emerson\u2019s pervasive sensing product\/software\/solution\/service offerings and coordinated the Industrial Internet of Things initiatives across the company. Early in the development of wireless technology, Bob drove the standardization of the WirelessHART communications protocol and helped define new technologies aimed at solving reliability, efficiency, environment and safety problems in the industry.<\/p>\n

Before joining Emerson, Bob developed rotating equipment control systems at Compressor Controls Corporation and satellite control systems for Lockheed Martin. He also served as an officer in the United States Air Force working on satellite control and communications systems.<\/p>\n
