(NASDAQ: BIDU) (“Baidu” or the “Company”), a leading search engine, knowledge and information-centered Internet platform and AI company, today announced that its board of directors has authorized a change to the Company’s 2020 Share Repurchase Program, increasing the aggregate value of shares that may be repurchased from\u00a0US$3 billion\u00a0to\u00a0US$4.5 billion. The 2020 Share Repurchase Program is effective through\u00a0December 31, 2022.<\/p>\n

The Company’s proposed repurchases may be made from time to time on the open market at prevailing market prices, in privately negotiated transactions, in block trades and\/or through other legally permissible means, depending on market conditions and in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
