The total amount of the outstanding loan, including principal and accumulated interests, is less than <span class=\"xn-money\">$450,000<\/span>. <\/p>\n<p>UC Asset restates its projection of a profitable 4th\u00a0quarter of 2020 after this new sale. The buyer has until <span class=\"xn-chron\">December 28<\/span> to close the transaction.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We had a slow start in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and took a loss in both revenue and book value for the first half of the year, however, our team quickly made adjustments and turned things around.\u00a0 We claimed gross profits on two sales in third quarter and closed our <span class=\"xn-location\">Dallas<\/span> farmland sale at a significant margin of profit in fourth quarter,&#8221; Bankston explains. <\/p>\n<p>According to the company&#8217;s official records, UC Asset acquired the <span class=\"xn-location\">Dallas<\/span> farmland in 2016 at the price of <span class=\"xn-money\">$805,216<\/span> and sold the property in 2020 for <span class=\"xn-money\">$1.3 million<\/span>. After taking in account additional costs of approximately <span class=\"xn-money\">$50,000<\/span>, the gross margin on this sale is approximately 55%.<\/p>\n<p>The new sale will further improve UC Asset&#8217;s cash position. Right now, the company has approximately <span class=\"xn-money\">$700,000<\/span> of cash in hand, and another <span class=\"xn-money\">$700,000<\/span> in short term debt instruments. It has another <span class=\"xn-money\">$1.20<\/span> million\u00a0invested into a secured convertible note which will mature within a year.
