class=\"xn-money\">$6.6 million<\/span>, compared with <span class=\"xn-money\">$1.5 million<\/span> for the third quarter of 2019, with the increase attributable to RT-PCR COVID-19 testing.\u00a0 Revenues for the third quarter of 2020 included <span class=\"xn-money\">$6.4 million<\/span> in commercial test revenue, which includes <span class=\"xn-money\">$5.7 million<\/span> attributable to RT-PCR COVID-19 testing, <span class=\"xn-money\">$47,000<\/span> in development services test revenue and <span class=\"xn-money\">$154,000<\/span> in revenue for distributed products, Target Selector\u2122 RUO kits, CEE-Sure\u00ae blood collection tubes \u00a0and payments from Aegea Bioscience for services associated with the development of a COVID-19 assay.\u00a0 Revenues for the third quarter of 2019 included <span class=\"xn-money\">$1.4 million<\/span> in commercial test revenue, <span class=\"xn-money\">$38,000<\/span> in development services test revenue and <span class=\"xn-money\">$59,000<\/span> from distributed products. <\/p>\n<p>Biocept accessioned 52,993 total samples during the third quarter of 2020, compared with 1,429 total samples during the third COVID-19 assay.<\/p>\n<p>Operating expenses for the first nine months of 2020 were <span class=\"xn-money\">$26.4 million<\/span>, and included cost of revenues of <span class=\"xn-money\">$11.3
