Newport Beach, CA, Oct. 26, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Bimergen Energy Corporation (NYSE American: BESS), a developer, owner, and operator of utility-scale and distributed battery energy storage systems, today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Emergen Commodities LLC, has filed an application with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) for an Option 2 Retail Electric Provider (REP) certificate. The application represents a step toward adding retail electricity capabilities to Bimergen\u2019s energy infrastructure business. Subject to regulatory approval and applicable market requirements, the certification would enable Bimergen, through Emergen Commodities, to supply electricity directly to qualifying data center customers in Texas.<\/p>\n

Supplying electricity to large data center customers could generate substantial revenue for Emergen Commodities and its parent company, Bimergen Energy. The significant and ongoing electricity requirements of these facilities present an opportunity to establish recurring revenue streams through customer supply agreements.<\/p>\n

Texas\u2019 Option 2 certification provides a pathway to serve specifically identified customers contracting for at least one megawatt of capacity. Subject to regulatory approval and applicable market requirements, the certification would establish a foundation for Emergen Commodities to participate in this segment of the Texas retail electricity market.<\/p>\n

In parallel with the regulatory process, Bimergen is working with multiple counterparties to provide credit support for large data center loads.
