DULLES, Va., Oct. 23, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation (CFC) has announced that S&P Global Ratings (S&P) has upgraded its long-term issuer credit rating to \u201cA\u201d from \u201cA-\u201d with a Stable Outlook.<\/p>\n

S&P also upgraded CFC\u2019s senior secured and senior unsecured debt ratings to \u201cA\u201d from \u201cA-\u201d and its subordinated debt rating to \u201cBBB+\u201d from \u201cBBB.\u201d<\/p>\n

In announcing the upgrade, S&P cited CFC\u2019s consistently strong credit performance, exceptional asset quality and prudent risk-management practices, including its low-risk loan portfolio and minimal credit losses.<\/p>\n
