Additionally, 42% of Humana Medicare Advantage members are enrolled in 4.5-star plans for 2027.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re extremely proud of these Star Ratings. They\u2019re a direct reflection of the hard work that thousands of Humana employees put in everyday, helping members get the high-quality care and coordinated support they need to achieve their best health,\u201d said Jim Rechtin, Humana CEO. \u201cWe\u2019ll keep finding new, better ways to support our members and improve their experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CMS rates Medicare Advantage (MA) and Part D plans on a 5-star scale every year based on measurements of quality of care, member experience and customer service.<\/p>\n<p>Humana saw significant performance improvement across all measure categories. Compared with the prior year, 663,000 more care opportunities were met and 534,000 additional members completed an annual preventive visit. Humana\u2019s tailored member engagement efforts help members access preventive care, which resulted in earlier detection and better health outcomes. The member engagement included a focus on those overdue for preventive care, which resulted in:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bwlistdisc\">\n<li>28,000 members received an overdue mammogram, identifying 600 previously undetected breast cancers, many at an earlier stage than they otherwise would have been found;<\/li>\n<li>93,000 members completed an overdue colorectal cancer screening, identifying 100 previously undetected cases of precancers and cancers; and<\/li>\n<li>73,000 members living with diabetes received an overdue eye exam, identifying 17,000 previously undetected diagnoses of diabetes-related eye disease, a leading cause of vision loss.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cHelping a member get an overdue screening means identifying a serious condition sooner, when there are more treatment options and better outcomes.
