\nPivix Specialty Insurance Services Inc. (\u201cPivix\u201d), an excess and surplus lines managing general agent majority owned by Octave Specialty Group, Inc. (NYSE: OSG), has launched a monoline assault and battery program designed to meet the insurance requirements of accounts needing this important coverage. The program is supported by an A+ AM Best rated insurer and available nationwide on an E&S basis.<\/p>\n

\nDistributed exclusively through wholesale brokers, the new program targets apartment complexes, condominium associations, homeowner associations, lessor\u2019s risk properties, hotels, restaurants and bars, and retail stores. The Pivix program provides limits of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate to meet market needs.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cOver the past several years, assault and battery coverage has been shrinking in the general liability marketplace,\u201d Michael Gramm, Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer-Brokerage at Pivix, said. \u201cWe developed this program specifically to address that gap, with limits structured to satisfy the new lending requirements and brokers looking for complete coverage.\u201d<\/p>\n
