\nFranklin BSP Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: FBRT) (\u201cFBRT\u201d or the \u201cCompany\u201d) today announced that Richard Byrne, Chairman of the Board and the Company\u2019s former Chief Executive Officer, has been reappointed as Chief Executive Officer, effective September 16, 2026.<\/p>\n

\nMr. Byrne succeeds Michael Comparato, who resigned on September 15, 2026 as part of his decision to step back from day-to-day executive responsibilities to spend more time with his family. Mr. Byrne has remained closely involved with FBRT as Chairman of the Board and will be supported by the Company\u2019s experienced senior leadership team.<\/p>\n

\nJerry Baglien will continue to serve as FBRT\u2019s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. He was also appointed Co-President of FBRT, alongside Brian Buffone, and will assume responsibility for leading BSP\u2019s Commercial Real Estate Debt platform. Mr. Comparato will transition to a Senior Advisor role at BSP through 2027.<\/p>\n
